Schenna
That's where I call home
The sunny location under the spell of the wonderful low mountain landscape of Meran and its surroundings is a special part of the charm of Schenna, a rambling area with its parishes of St. Georgen, Schennaberg, Verdins, Obertall, Untertall and Videgg.
Modernity blends with the old-established, nestling amongst orchards and vineyards, ancient, isolated gnarled chestnut trees stand in defiance of the weather, the higher one climbs the more the forests stretch out, with flower-filled alpine pastures and meadows, and every now and again historic farmsteads that speak of a hard life in the mountains and eventually give way to the bizarre rocky crags of the Ifinger and Hirzer mountains.
Epochs and landscapes can be hiked through and differences in altitude overcome at leisure. A lovely picture of Schenna, which has found itself a secure place in the hearts of visitors.
